Facebook Cleaning Up News Feed Spam, Project Clean

Take that, Facebook page spammers. Well I’m intend to say “take that”, because Facebook starts a new project called “Project Clean” as they’re trying to clean up spam posts, links and pages. You may come across a lot of Facebook page which may ask to like, comment or share the post in order to get additional distribution beyond what the post would normally receive. Sometimes it ends up with, “UNLIKE”. Do these posts and pages annoy you? Don’t worry, do support Facebook to clean up our news feed from these spammers. Facebook recently announced that,

Today we are announcing a series of improvements to News Feed to reduce stories that people frequently tell us are spammy and that they don’t want to see. Many of these stories are published by Pages that deliberately try and game News Feed to get more distribution than they normally would. Our update targets three broad categories of this type of feed spam behavior.

project clean So Facebook pages those who involve on “Like-Baiting”, “Frequently Circulated Content”, “Spammy Links” will face some decline in their content sharing over the next few months. Project clean is stressful only to people who involves sharing spammy activities, and other Facebook page owners are requested not to worry about this update, until they share spam contents.
