And now we would like to notify you about two Android applications, which help us to detect whether our phone is vulnerable to heartbleed bug or not. The application also detects the vulnerability on installed applications too.
Nowadays, you may come across a lot of topic titled on heartbleed bug on the internet. And to be noted that heartbleed bug is one of the worst vulnerability found on the internet. Heartbleed bug is not only vulnerable to your PC, its also vulnerable to your Android device. Do you know how to check whether your Android devices is free from heartbleed bug? Here are the applications to detect heartbleed bug on your Android devices.
Lookout Mobile Security has developed Heartbleed detector application for Android devices, which can be used to determine whether our Android device is vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug in OpenSSL or not. Heartbleed Detector app works by determining what version of OpenSSL our device is using. If our device is using one of the affected versions of OpenSSL, then they check whether heartbeats feature is enabled. As “Heartbeat” function helps to keep secure connections alive.
Heartbleed detector will detect only the vulnerabilities on Android devices, not the applications installed to the device.

Bluebox Heartbleed Scanner
Bluebox heartbleed scanner has the same features of above mentioned Heartbleed detector. Heartbleed detector won’t detect vulnerability on the apps installed to the device, but Bluebox scanner does. Learn more about Bluebox Scanner.
